About
Less friction between seeing and sharing.
Snapbak exists because capturing and explaining your work shouldn’t require four apps, a gigabyte of RAM, and a cloud account.
Founder
“I built Snapbak because I was tired of switching between four apps just to report a bug or record a demo. One lightweight tool should do it all — on your Mac, offline, without the bloat.”
The best screen recorders were Mac‑only. The cross‑platform ones felt like operating a video studio. Dictation tools were either cloud‑heavy or buried inside the OS. And bug reporting still required a call, a Loom, and a HAR export.
Snapbak brings the pieces together: a hotkey that captures anything, an editor that turns a recording into a report, a browser extension that attaches the context, and a dictation engine that respects your privacy.
It’s local‑first, lightweight, and opinionated about one thing: the less friction between seeing something and sharing it, the faster teams ship.
